Journeys With Joseph | |||
Royal Family Kids Camp 2006 begins this Monday! The leaders and team of RFKC will journey up the mountain to await the arrival of our 47 Royal Guests from various foster homes and group homes in Kern County. Please remember the camp, and especially the children, in prayer this next week. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the children and are expecting great outcomes leading to changed generations! Remember, one week can make a difference for a life time!

Changed lives one week at a time! | |||
The picture to the left is of two former RFKC campers - Christeen and Amber. Christeen and Amber now live with their biological family but 10 years ago they were campers at RFKC! We met up with the girls following a speaking engagement at Life Journey Church. Kim and I were at the table following the service and Amber came "hopping" over yelling "I went to Royal Family, I went to Royal Family!" Kim and I stood speechless and amazed. God had truly blessed us with a gift! God had given us the gift of hope confirmed and ministry results so often never witnessed in these two wonderful girls! As we listened to Amber and Christeen's story, we were overcome with joy as we recognized the dramatic role RFKC played in their lives. This story had to be re-told! We invited the girls to share their story of triumph and change personally with our team. The picture to the left is a celebration of Christeen's birthday at our final RFKC training where both Christeen and Amber shared their stories and the impact of RFKC on their lives. What a wonderful day that was and what a great gift God laid before us. That day is a day we will never forget. It is a memory that moves us forward and makes our faith real and tangible. You see, these are lives that have been changed through a one week camp with loving servants reaching hurting kids! RFKC works. RFKC works because people care and people serve! Thanks God for moments that matter. Thanks for the Christeens and Ambers that we will reach at this years camp!

Pray For the children: Safety, God’s touch in their lives; the Holy Spirit to move and help erase memories of the past; hope; good times; fun; being a kid; knowing Jesus; strengthened by God; feeling of self-worth; assurance that adults can be safe people; good health at camp; comfort at camp; release into God’s care. Pray For camp: That the power of God, the grace of God, the mercy of God, the love of God, and the value God gives each soul would be apparent and alive at camp; that the Holy Spirit would anoint each servant for the special needs of the children and be ever present in all activities, services, programs, and events. That Jesus Christ would be at camp touching lives and impacting children for eternity. Thank you for the staff and the children, Randy and Kim Martin
