“Providing resources and services to foster children returning to their families and youth leaving the foster care system to equip for successful transitions.”

With a mini-grant we received in 2005, over 50 families were provided groceries, household appliances and furniture!  Consider funding CARE-NET because we cannot meet the needs of Kern County families without support from you.

Overview

Families often experience difficulty making successful transitions due to simple, solvable solutions that cannot be met with existing family resources. A broken window, an electrical problem, a lack of furniture or appliances, etc. may present barriers to re-unification or adoption. The CARE-NET is a collaborative community effort developed to meet the needs of these families by providing the necessary items and volunteer or paid help to install or delivery and set-up resources needed for successful transition.

Referral Process
CARENET Referral Form
Instructions: Complete page 1 only and send it with page 2 for Covenant Use

Referrals can be made to CARE-NET via telephone, fax or by US Mail. Please include as much information as possible to insure successful service provision. The contact names and numbers for case managers, social workers, probation officers, etc. are critical to a collaborative plan of action for successful transitions so please include this information.

Once a referral is received, CARE-NET will recruit community resources to assist and/or utilize donations to provide needed services for successful transition. If you have any questions please call the Covenant office at 661-326-8304.
