Thank you!
A sincere thank you to all those who gave, served and prayed for Royal Family Kids' Camp this year.  Camp was extremly successful--we were able to take 49 abused and neglected foser children and give them a week full of positive memories.
Building Blocks
Building Blocks is Covenant's latest ministry involving emancipated youth.  Emancipated foster youth are those children who have been part of the foster care system,  reached age 18 and are no longer supported by the county.  In 2006, 158 foster children emancipated and a majority of these youth have no where to go.  Covenant has procured a transitional living community for these youth and have spent the last several weeks preparing the apartments.  On Saturday July 14 we are having a Building Blocks work day to get all the projects completed.  Contact Mark Williams for more information 487-3443.
Mentoring Training
The Jeremiah Mentoring Project is seeking people who are interested in mentoring a foster child.  Mentors meet with their mentee for 1 to 2 hours each week.  Activities are determined by the mentor and mentee and can include: art projects, fast food, homework, shopping, and many more!  The next training will be held at Covenant (1616 29th Street) on Saturday July 28th from 8a-noon.  Contact the Covenant Office to reserve your seat 326-8304.
